Marquette County has sustained widespread damage caused by runoff of rapidly melting snowpack exacerbated by additional rainfall. As a result of this situation, Chairman Gerald O. Corkin, Marquette County Board of Commissioners has declared that a “local state of emergency” exists in accordance with Section 10 of 1976 Public Act 390.
The following county agencies have been activated to support the response and recovery efforts of municipal and township governments throughout Marquette County:

Marquette County Emergency Management
Marquette County Emergency Operations Center
