M-DOT Permanently Closing Carpool Lot Near Escanaba May 22nd

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing the Hyde carpool parking lot due to non-use. It’s located near the US-2 bridge over the Ford River near Hyde. This carpool lot will close as of May 22.

Please use one of the alternative carpool parking lots listed below.

Alternate lots:

• Escanaba-Meijer, 505 N. 26th Street, Escanaba, MI 49829 (Approx. 5.5 miles east)
• Bark River, 2138 US-2, Bark River, MI 49807 (Intersection of M-69 and US-2, Approx. 3.55 miles west.
