The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $2 million to replace a culvert on M-123 over Otto/Brant Creek in Luce County.
Work includes scour countermeasures, riprap, guardrail, signs, and approach work. It was set to begn on Thursday, and the project will be with us all summer, with the anticpated end date of early August. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained on M-123 using traffic signals on a temporary bypass road.
A lane width restriction of 11 feet will be in place during the project. This project will increase safety for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway.
