The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $613,000 for asphalt cold milling and resurfacing of about 1 mile of M-28 from east of Hulbert Road to west of Forest Road 3385. Work includes installing aggregate shoulders; centerline and shoulder rumble strips; and pavement markings.
A minimum of one lane of alternating traffic will be open on M-28 using traffic regulators or traffic shifts. A lane width restriction of 12 feet will be in place during the project. It should be done by June 30. M-DOt says this project will increase safety for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway.
