The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled against President Biden’s Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule finding the EPA overstepped its authority.
In March, Rep. Bergman voted in favor of H.J. Res. 27, a resolution to overturn this regulation.
Following the Supreme Court’s decision, Rep. Jack Bergman issued the following statement:
“Conserving our water is not a partisan issue and can be accomplished without personal property rights infringement – I will continue working to protect both. This victory through the unanimous Sackett v. EPA Supreme Court ruling is critical to ensuring common sense and states’ rights are preserved. I am optimistic that this decision will finally end the nearly decade-long fight against the extreme and overbearing WOTUS rule and give much-needed clarity to American farmers and landowners. This ruling is a testament to the power of standing up for our rights and freedoms in the face of power-grabbing bureaucrats.“
