M&M Community Foundation Gives Grant To New Sports Facility

The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) recently awarded a mini-grant to the Northwoods Sports and Community Center.  This newly organized nonprofit supports recreation and community activities in Beecher and surrounding communities.  The $750 grant will be used towards updating existing playground equipment in Beecher.

According to Amanda Cox, a director with the community group, “Having updated equipment will provide a safer environment for the area youth to enjoy the outdoors.  The funding will be used for new slides and other amenities.”
