One person is in custody in Marquette after allegedy threatening to kill someone and then leading police on a chase before crashing near a local grocery store.
Marquette County Sheriffs Deputies say the call came in at 9:30 Wednesday night to go to a home on Werner Street for the initial complaint, and they started getting other calls about someone driving wrecklessly. A deputy found that vehicle on Vandenboom Street and tried to make a traffic stop. The suspect took off through Whetstone Village, onto US-41, and other roads, before rhe vehicle crashed in a grassy area near Tadych’s grocery store.
The suepct was arrested on multiple charges and taken to the Marquette County Jail. Deputies belive drugs were a factor in the incident.
