An Ishpeming youngster received minor injuries after falling from a rock face in the city Tuesday night.
The Marquette County sheriff says it happened at about 6:30 between Malton Road and New York Street. Two boys decided to take on the steep rock face, but one fell about 40 feet after losing his grip. The other youngster called 9-1-1 on his cell phone and deputies used a rescue sled to get the boy to safety.
He was treated at the hospital and then released.
