Escanaba Residents living in the areas of the 500 Block of 9th Street are experiencing a water outage today.
City officials say it’s because of damage to a water main, although it was not stated how the damage occurred.
All affected residents will be receiving a door hanger regarding the water outage, and residents there won’t have water until further notified. You will experience a loss of water service today for a period of time. Dirty water will affect isolated areas.
Once work is complete, mains will be flushed, water tested for bacteriological analysis, and each affected resident will be notified once safe to drink. Once service is restored, if water still remains discolored after 20-30 minutes, please contact the Water Department at 906-786-3291
