The Cure Teen Coaching & Life Skills Workshop opened and celebrated with joining the Chamber of Commerce and hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Cure Teen Coaching & Life Skills Workshop opened in January 2023 as a 501c3 non-profit at 922 River Avenue in Iron Mountain (the former Good Earth Salon building) as a community resource to equip students and young adults with the tools that they need to face the daily challenges of life.
“We invite parents to enroll their children in either our one-on-one mentoring program or our workshops…or both,” says Heather Ruesch, executive director of The Cure. “Our programming is designed to help youth build self-confidence, improve their attitudes toward school, develop healthy relationships, manage emotions, learn to be decisive and to live healthy lives.”
High school and college students looking for opportunities to develop leadership skills are invited to apply for a place in their Student Leadership Alliance, a peer-to-peer mentorship program with the mission of building stronger social-emotional connections with one another and within our communities.
The office at The Cure is open M-W-F from 12noon to 4PM and by appointment for teen coaching sessions. Life skills workshop times vary so please check their website for a monthly workshop schedule.
