The UP Regional Blood Center (UPRBC) is experiencing a need for O-negative and A-negative blood types.
The UPRBC has collection sites in Marquette, Hancock and Escanaba, and it is the primary supplier of blood products to Upper Peninsula hospitals. The center also partners with community organizations to host drives across the region.
This local blood supply allows health care providers to treat patients with a wide variety of conditions. All blood donations stay in the Upper Peninsula. A single donation could save up to three lives and typically takes only about an hour to complete.
