A Marquette County man has died in a side-by-side crash on a trail in Sands Township.
The Marquette County Sheriff says the crash happened at just after 6:00 Wednesday night on a trail just off of Young’s Road.
Deputies say that 57-year-old Paiul Bagby lost control of the machine and crashed into a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene after first responders tried life-saving measures. Alcohol, speed, and not wearing a seatbelt are believed to be factors in the crash.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Sands Township EMS/Fire, Rescue 131, and UPHS EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
