The Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District (DSISD) school board is pleased to announce selecting Dr. Kristina Hansen to serve as superintendent, by a unanimous vote during a special meeting on May 6, 2025. Dr. Hansen’s tenure with the DSISD will begin on July 1, 2025, she currently serves as the superintendent of Manistique Area Public Schools and has many successful years of teaching and leadership experience within the DSISD districts.
“As a board we are very much looking forward to working with Kristina, and having her join and lead our district,” Tammy Wolfe Beauchamp, school board president said. “During the interview and recommendation process it was evident Dr. Hansen is a passionate educator that will bring a strategic approach to improving student outcomes through data and research, building relationships and consensus with stakeholders and leading by example,” she added.
Dr. Hansen’s dedication to education can be found in her own life long learning practices, obtaining six degrees to cultivate and grow her skill set. She lives at home with her husband Jeff, they have two grown children and one daughter at home.
