Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Manistique Outpost are currently investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:30 pm near the intersection of US-2 and County Road 432 in Doyle Township.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a pickup truck failed to yield to a semi-truck pulling a trailer, which was traveling eastbound on US-2. When the pickup pulled out onto US-2, it crashed into the trailer of a semi-truck.
Non-life-threatening injuries have been reported. A small fuel spill from the crash was contained.
Both lanes of US-2 were shut down as emergency crews responded and the on-scene investigation is being completed. The road has since re-opened. The investigation is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
