Ten people have been arrested in Marinette County after a long investigation into meth trafficking in the area.
The Northeast Tri-County Drug Enforcement Group, led by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department and the Marinette City Police, launched the investigation back in February. Through the investigation, authorities were able to identify several suspects believed to be involved in the sale and distribution of methamphetamine in the area.
Between April 30 and May 2, police executed seven search warrants, resulting in the seizure of 413 grams of methamphetamine, two firearms, THC, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and $3,547 in cash.
Ten individuals were arrested in connection to the investigation:
- Gabriel Kurek, 48, of Peshtigo
- Bruce Cassady, 45, of Lena
- Johnathan Block, 49, of Pound
- John Hager, 33, of Grover
- Crystal Barthel, 33, of Antigo
- Scott Klatt, 47, of Menominee, Mich.
- Maya Lindsay, 23, of Marinette
- Hunter Shehow, 23, of Peshtigo
- Maggie Throm, 24, of Menominee, Mich.
- Nickolas Wood, 27, of Marinette
Each faces one count of conspiracy to commit the delivery of methamphetamine in quantities exceeding 50 grams; a Class C felony punishable by up to 40 years in prison and fines up to $100,000.
