At the request of the Canadian Armed Forces 49th Field Artillery Regiment, the Michigan State Police is helping share this message.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at approximately 2 pm, the 49th Field Artillery Regiment in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, will conduct a 3-round blank artillery gun salute on Topsail Island, located on the St. Mary’s River, to commemorate Canada Day.
Please be aware the salute will be quite loud. Residents and visitors nearby who are sensitive to loud sounds are encouraged to plan outdoor activities accordingly.
