Another fire in Escanaba.
This time, it was a house fire, at 3101 14th Avenue South, where crews arrived to see the rear of a two-story home on fire at just after 7:00 Tuesday night.
The fire was threatening the rest of the home and a detached garage, so officers attacked the fire from both inside and outside of the home. They were able to quickly get it under control, and were able to save the rest of the home and the garage.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury during this incident.
There was assistance from the Delta County Central Dispatch, the Escanaba Township Fire Department, the Ford River Fire Department, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Rampart, the Escanaba City Electric Department, the Red Cross and DTE.
