On October 27, 2025, at approximately 9:04 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post responded to a report of a juvenile female who sustained a serious knife injury at a home on Bates-Amasa Road in Bates Township.
The juvenile female was transported from the scene is currently receiving medical treatment. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
MSP was assisted by the Iron County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the MSP Iron Mountain Post at 906-774-2122.
