Families are getting ready for the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Program.
The annual Christmas giveaway will be held on Tuesday, December 16, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the St. Michael Catholic Church. Over 250 families will be taking part in the event, with mid-morning historically being the busiest time. The families will be able to shop, free of charge, for toys and clothing provided by the Marine Toys for Tots and from individual donors.
Following Christmas gift shopping, families can pick up Christmas food baskets at the Marquette SVdP Food Pantry. The Gwinn and Trenary conferences of SVdP also provide baskets for residents in those areas.
SVdP Christmas Program Chairperson Denise Foye says about the event, “A program this size could not be done without the generosity of those in our communities, including those who donate their time and treasures to St. Vincent de Paul, Toys for Tots, and local businesses.”
