MyMichigan Health EMS and Emergency Management recently partnered to provide an eight-hour Wilderness First Aid Trauma training course for the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office ORV, Snowmobile and Marine deputies.
The hands-on course focused on the types of injuries deputies most commonly encounter on the trails and on the water, preparing them to deliver immediate, life-saving care in remote environments.
In addition to the training, MyMichigan Health EMS donated medical equipment to help equip this specialized team, enhancing their ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies across Chippewa County.
This collaborative effort strengthens interagency preparedness and supports the safety of residents and visitors who utilize the county’s trail systems and waterways.
