Marinette Police say 24-year-old Gabriella Cartagena has been located.
Authorities made the announcement last Thursday afternoon but did not release additional details, saying more information will be shared as soon as possible. The department is thanking the community for its assistance during the search. Cartagena had last been seen Wednesday, February 4th.
Investigators say a person of interest is currently in custody. Police also confirm the Wright County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation. That agency reported that 29-year-old Robert Alan Chilcote of Porterfield, Wisconsin, was arrested in their county on February 5th on a charge of fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle. Authorities say he is believed to be a person of interest in the Cartagena case.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled to hold a press conference at 9 a.m. this Thursday morning.
