An Escanaba man has been convicted of murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
A Delta County jury on Thursday found Tavaris Jackson guilty on all counts in the shooting death of Harley Corwin, which happened three years ago.
Her body was found dumped in the woods in Ford River Township in July of 2023.
Jackson was found guilty of homicide in Coirwin’s death, guilty of causing the death of her unborn son, and felony firearms violations. The verdict came after a weeklong trial and almost nine hours of deliberations that spanned two days. Jackson will be sentenced on June 2nd.
