Voters in the City of Marinette are heading to the polls on Tuesday with several key races and a major county referendum on the ballot.
In Marinette, multiple Common Council seats are up for grabs, with races across several wards expected to shape the direction of the city moving forward. In District 7, 2, and 3 voters are choosing between Chuck Rowell, Chris Lesperande, Dyan Demmith, and Michael Ebsch.
Council races across the city are drawing attention, as voters weigh candidates’ positions on development, infrastructure, and the future of major projects—including discussions surrounding City Hall and downtown redevelopment.
Meanwhile, all Marinette County voters will weigh in on a county-wide referendum asking whether to exceed state levy limits to fund county operations and services.
County officials say the measure is aimed at maintaining essential services and addressing rising costs, while opponents have raised concerns about the impact on taxpayers.
Election officials remind voters to check their polling location and bring proper identification. Polls are open throughout the day, and turnout is expected to play a critical role in both the city races and the referendum outcome.
Polls Open at 7am in the City of Marinette. Elections take place at the Marinette REC Center.
