Three people were hurt in a traffic crash this morning in Gladstone.
Michigan State Police say the accident happened at 7:15 this morning at the intersection of 0-point-85 Road ad Rivers 22nd Road. That’s just off of M-35 at “the triangle”, about a mile south of the Gladstone High School.
Troopers say a vehicle with two teenagers in it was on East 22nd Road and tried to make a left onto 0-point-85 Road and hit another vehicle heading south on 0-point-85 Road…driven by a man from Perkins.
The Gladstone boy was injured and airlifted to U-P Health System Marquette by Valley Med Flight, while the girl with him was taken by ambulance to Marquette.
The driver from Perkins was also taken to Marquette.
Their conditions are unknown at this time and their names have not been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

On October 24th, 2019 at 7:14am, troopers from the Gladstone Post were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of O.85 and Rivers 22nd Rd. Investigation at the scene revealed two teenagers in the same vehicle from Gladstone were traveling eastbound on Rivers 22nd Rd. and attempted to turn left to head northbound on O.85 Rd.
A vehicle driven by a male subject out of Perkins, was traveling southbound on O.85 Rd. and struck the two teenagers who were in his path of travel. The driver from Gladstone was airlifted to U.P. Health Systems Marquette by Valley Med Flight. The other teenager and driver from Perkins were transported via ambulance to U.P. Health Systems Marquette.
Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the crash. Investigation continues into cause of the crash and enforcement action.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Gladstone Public Safety, Delta County Sheriff’s Department, Escanaba Twp. Fire Department, Valley Med Flight, Rampart EMS, and Pro Towing.
