Brady James Mason, 19, of Escanaba was sentenced to 9 months in the Delta County Jail. Mason was sentenced following the entry of a guilty plea to Maintaining a Drug House, punishable by up to 2 years in prison.
On May 23, 2019, officers from Delta County Sheriff’s Office, MI, public safety officer from Escanaba Department of Public Safety and detectives from Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement South Team executed a search warrant at an apartment on South 15th Street in the city of Escanaba. The apartment was occupied by Mason at the time of the search.
Officers located methamphetamine, a drug scale, multiple prescription pills, plastic baggies, and multiple cell phones. Mason admitted to officers that he resided in the apartment and was aware that another resident that was selling methamphetamine out of the apartment.
Mason also admitted to officers that he had travelled out of state with the other resident to purchase methamphetamine and bring it back to the Escanaba area.
