Warmer weather means seasonal weight and speed restrictions across the Upper Peninsula.
Restrictions are now in effect in Schoolcraft County, as well as in the western U-P.
The Schoolcraft County road commission imposed the restrictions Monday morning in an effort to protect the roads from the heavy trucks as spring break-up begins.

Restrictions went into effect in Houghton, Baraga, Ontonagon, and Keweenaw Counties over the weekend.
Menominee County’s restrictions will go into effect on Tuesday, March 3rd.
Gogebic County says its restrictions will go into effect this Thursday, March 5th.
Delta County says its restrictions will go into effect this Saturday, March 7th, at 8 a.m.
Restrictions will go into effect in Marquette, Alger, and Mackinac Counties this Friday, March 6th.
No restrictions have yet been announced in Luce and Chippewa Counties.
