On Monday, March 16th, 2020 at approximately 5:00pm, Escanaba Public Safety received a complaint of Dustin Feavel, 36 year old male as being missing.
Mr. Feavel recently traveled to Escanaba from Wisconsin to visit relatives. Escanaba Public Safety started to conduct an area search near 8th Avenue South and South 30th Street where Mr. Feavel was last seen.
UPDATED INFORMATION:
On Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at approximately 6:30pm, Officers located the body of Mr. Feavel in the woods between Willow Creek Road and M.5 Lane along the northern fence line to the Delta County Airport.
Mr. Feavel was transported to OSF St. Francis for examination by the Delta County Medical Examiner’s office. A ruling for cause of death was determined to be related to hypothermia.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by the Delta County Search and Rescue, Delta County Sheriff Department, Delta County Sheriff Department Aviation Unit (UAV), Rampart EMS, Delta County Medical Examiner’s office, and Delta County Central Dispatch.
Nothing further will be released at this time.
