Dickinson County Healthcare System (DCH) is confirming the recent Dickinson-Iron District Health Department report, the second DCH patient who returned a presumptive positive test result for COVID-19 has died as a result of complications from the virus.
DCH is able to share that the patient had pre-existing medical issues that were compromised by COVID-19.
The staff of DCH shares its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the patient.
DCH urges our community to continue to be cooperative with Executive Orders and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations to keep yourself and others safe. “Stay Home, Stay Safe”, practice social distancing, and it is now recommended wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant communitybased transmission.
