The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported on Monday afternoon that there were 236 new positive coronavirus cases in the state, and there were four new deaths in the state.
Michigan now has 63,497 confirmed positive cases and 5,916 COVID-19 deaths.
There was one new case reported on Monday in Baraga County.
Michigan also tracks “probable” cases and deaths. Those are people who do not have a positive test result confirmed, but health officials believe their illnesses or deaths were related to COVID-19.
As of Monday, the state lists an additional 6,726 cases and 246 deaths in the “probable” category.
There have been 153 confirmed positive cases and 18 deaths linked to COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula.
There have also been seven “probable” cases listed in the Upper Peninsula.
The state now lists 51,099 people as having “recovered”. This means that they are still alive at least 30 days after having a positive test confirmed, or being diagnosed with COVID-19.
As of Monday, the state completed 1,205,031 tests, including 158,486 tests for antibodies and 1,046,545 diagnostic tests.
