A New York-based financial technology company is out with a list of the most financially-healthy places in the country, and the U-P does very well. SmartAsset says Dickinson County is the most financially healthy place in Michigan—with Menominee County coming in second and Delta County third. Rounding out the top ten are Houghton County at number five, Marquette County in seventh place and Gogebic in eighth place. The company looked at debt as a percent of income, the poverty rate and unemployment among other factors.
