Four people were rescued from the waters of Lake Michigan off the shore of Menominee County over the weekend, in two different incidents.
The Menominee County Sheriff says the first call came in just before 3:00 Saturday afternoon when a kayak overturbed about four miles offshore from the Menominee lighthouse. An adult and a teenager were rescued, and their kayak was taken back to shore.
Moments later, deputies were told that a relative had used a jet ski to try to rescue the two, and he was unaccounted for. At about 4:30, they found that man and his seven-year-old on Green Island. Crews guided them and their jet ski back to shore.
