Firewood permits for the Ottawa National Forest are now available for purchase through a new online E-Permit system epermits.fs2c.usda.gov/ . A flexible and convenient service, permits can be purchased online or via mobile device, eliminating the need to visit a Forest Service office.

They’re also available for the Hiawatha National Forest at epermits.fs2c.usda.gov/
Traditional firewood permits will still be available to purchase at local Forest Service offices or participating vendors. The Forest Service will continue to enhance and improve the online permit system’s quality and will introduce additional special forest product permits in the future.
