The House of Ludington, built in the 1860’s in downtown Escanaba, went up in flames Friday morning. The call came in just after 10:00. Several township fire departments are helping Escanaba Public Safety battle this blaze in very cold conditions. Heavy smoke is filling the downtown area and flames can still be seen from the upper floor of the building. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
