Dear Parents and Community,
Thank you for your cooperation today.
Administration was made aware of a handwritten note indicating a threat against the school . The note stated that “I have a bomb” We took this matter seriously and immediately contacted law enforcement.
The following steps were taken:
1) The building was put in a HOLD.
2) Students within proximity of where the note was discovered were questioned and segregated from the classroom.
3) The classroom, backpacks, and lockers were searched and we found no threat.
4)A decision was made to contact the
State Police with canine to do a more thorough search
5) Once the Officer and canine arrived the building was put into LOCKDOWN.
6) The building was searched extensively and it was determined that there was no viable threat.
7) We then proceeded to safely dismiss students.
