U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Michigan State Director Dom Restuccia today announced $105,701 in home repair grants for the Bay Mills Indian Community in the Eastern U.P.
“Today’s announcement is a great example of how USDA is working with all levels of government – state, county, municipal and tribal – to help rural residents make needed repairs to their homes,” said Restuccia. “Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, USDA Rural Development is committed to restoring rural Michigan.”
The Bay Mills Indian Community will use the funds for a wide range of essential improvements, including energy-related upgrades, accessibility enhancements for individuals with disabilities, and repairs, replacements, and rehabilitation for low-income households.
The investments are being made through Rural Development’s Housing Preservation Grant program.
