The City of Escanaba will begin plowing roads again at 10:00 Monday night after pulling the plows off the roads earlier in the day. City Public Works Director Kent Dubord told RRN News that the move was to protect both workers and residents, as massive snow drifts clogged roads across the city.
He says the goal is to work all night, overnight, to get the main roads open, and then they’ll start working on local roads and allies. Because the allies are still overwhelmed by snow drifts, he says trash and recycling pick-up will have to be postponed again, possibly until this Saturday and Sunday, and into next week.
Dubord adds that it could be Friday before some roads are plowed.
