On Saturday, March 21st, the Trident in the Eastern Upper Peninsula concluded an ongoing narcotics investigation with two arrests.
Trident had information that large amounts of Methamphetamine were being transported into the area and sold locally. On Saturday, a Chippewa County Deputy Sheriff attempted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.
A short time later, the suspect vehicle pulled into a driveway on Mackinac Trail, south of Rudyard Mi.
A package was thrown from the vehicle and was recovered. Over 10 ounces of Methamphetamine was seized. Both men were arrested and booked into the CCCF. Subsequent search warrants have been conducted, resulting in additional evidence of narcotics trafficking.

On 3/23/2026 both suspects were arraigned in the 91st Dist court. Both suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
