There’s been a fatal traffic crash in Marquette County.
The Marquette County Sheriff says the call came in at 1:40 Sunday afternoon to come to the US-41/M-94/Carlshed Road in Skandia Township. Deputies say a pick-up truck was westbound on M-94 and crashed with a motorcycle that was traveling south on US-41.
The man driving the motorcycle was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening injuries. A woman who was a passenger on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The people inside the pick-up truck were not hurt.
The accident remains under investigation. The names of those involved have not been released.
