The suspect in a stabbing that took place last Friday, in Mackinac County has been arraigned on his charges.
18-year-old Maxwell Phillips of Little Lake, Michigan was arraigned in the 92nd District Court on Monday. His charges were one count of attempted murder, one count of assault with intent to murder, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon. His bond was set at $500,000 cash/surety.
Phillips is scheduled for a probable cause conference on September 1, 2026, and a preliminary examination on September 9, 2026.
The defendant is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
