Groundbreaking was held Wednesday for a state-of-the-art, 30,000 square foot facility in Negaunee Township to train the next generation of skilled tradesmen and women. The facility is being financed by the Michigan Carpenters and Millwrights Joint Apprenticeship and Training Fund and is scheduled to open next year. It will focus on cross-training carpenters and millwrights, they say.
