I always tell people “I did my time in the city” but I was born a Yooper and when that day comes, I want to go out as one. I was raised here in God’s Country and got hooked on Country Music in my teens while working on the air at Bright Country Radio WBDN, which is now part of The Radio Results Network with a new format, Newstalk 93.5 & 600AM WCHT. While working in several UP counties, the Fox Valley and the Lansing Market, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for Country Music. I play all the Fresh Country during “The Morning Show with Joe” on 102five The Moose and 92three WJPD but, I must admit, I do love to put some twang on this thang! The Maverick certainly brings back some great memories for me since I played many of the “classics” when they were brand new. Every day I’ll be sharing my memories and our shared love of Classic Country so, come along for the ride!

Hey, hey! I am a country girl at heart and absolutely love being a part of the Maverick! These are the songs I grew up with and that generally put a smile on my face…especially when I hear one that brings me back to the backseat of the car with my mom up front singing a long. I started in country radio when I was a senior in high school and it has been my passion ever since! I can find fun in anything that I am doing..especially with my husband and son! We enjoy side by side rides with the family, or playing board games together…really the simple things in life.
Doyle King – Evenings
I was born in Dallas and raised the small town of Coppell, Texas. My step-dad was a horse trader, so I had my own horse at age 12 and I rode him to school a few times, when I missed the bus. I also love going to the outdoors and that’s where you’ll find me and the dogs at least a couple of times a week. I love music, of every genre. Linda Flores – Overnights
It’s a happy accident that I’m in radio. In college I was lucky enough to have a scholarship with the music/theater department and was studying to be a recording engineer. My dad worked for NASA making sure the astronauts could talk back to mission control, so I’ve been around sound equipment all my life. One day I visited the on campus radio station to drop off some music that I had just recorded. The manager pulled me aside and asked if I had ever considered being on the radio and I said NO! But he offered to PAY me and so… my radio career started! It’s still kinda crazy that I get paid to do something I love!
