The City of Escanaba Recreation Department announces the Fourth of July Fireworks Display Show on Saturday, July 6th in Ludington Park.
Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “For the past 15 years, we only received one bid for our fireworks display. This year, that company did not bid. We reached out to several other companies and the only option for a fireworks display was to have it on July 6th. All the fireworks companies are already established with other communities. The City of Escanaba was fortunate to receive the proposal for July 6th.”
The Fourth of July festivities to include the City Band, Jaws of Life demonstration, K9 demonstration and food vendors will still take place in Ludington Park. We still encourage everyone to come down to the Park to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Friday, July 5th and Saturday, July 6th will be a “Rock the Dock” event in Ludington Park with local bands, bounce houses, food vendors and carnival games. Additional details with be coming in the near future.
