The C-B-C radioathon in Manistique is being labeled a success.
The 52nd annual event, broadcast from the Manistique High School on WTIQ 1490, raised more than 65-thousand dollars, which organizers say is the highest amount yet.
Final figures for the entire campaign will be announced in June. The event included not only the five-hour-long Palm Sunday event at Manistique High School, it also included a Skeet Shoot on Saturday, a Buckboard Competition, and a talent show.
And there is still one more event coming up: a Bounce House will be set up for the young kids at Emerald Elementary School this Thursday from 3:30 until 5:30.
All proceeds from that will be split between the C-B-C and the Manistique High School softball team.
The C-B-C raises money for American Cancer Society, Bay Cliff Health Camp, and Community Charities….this year being Good Neighbor Services.
