The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle/motorcycle crash that hit a parked vehicle Saturday afternoon.
The rider came up over a crest of a hill too fast on Co. Rd. PBG and ran off the road at about 1:00 in the afternoon.
The rider tried to correct the bike but could not, running into the truck that had the driver’s door open. The bike stopped abruptly between the door and the truck frame. The rider is under age and the name will not be released.
Minor damage was done to both vehicles, but the rider was taken to UPHS-Bell in Ishpeming for non-life threatening injuries.
The rider was wearing a helmet, but was cited for County ORV ordinance violations.
