Two teenaged girls are dead after a weekend traffic crash in the western U-P.
Gogebic County Sheriffs Deputies say it happened about 2:30 Saturday morning on Lake Road near Powers Road in Ironwood Township when a vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
Two girls…15-year-old Madeline Jackson and 18-year-old Lauren Powless…both died.
A 20-year-old man survived and walked to a near-by home to report the accident.
The investigation is ongoing and no names are being released at this time.
