It’s a big weekend for bargain hunters in Escanaba.
Dozens of homes will be taking part in the city-wide Trash To Cash Rummage Sale. It’s an effort to keep things out of the landfill, bring visitors into Escanaba, and maybe you can earn a few dollars, too. The event is also geared toward college students who may need things for their dorm rooms this fall.
The rummage sale will run from 8 until 5 this Friday and Saturday, and the list of homes that will be participating will be available at City Hall later today.
Then on Sunday, it’s the Trash-To-Treasure Day, where residents can put things out by the curb and anyone is free to take the items away at no cost. That’s between 8-and-noon on Sunday.
