Music, food, and hopefully, sunshine.
That’s what’s on the agenda every Thursday afternoon on the Bay College Escanaba campus. The “Lunchtime Live” event is new this year, and it kicks off tomorrow with the group “Blue Auroras” playing.
Emilee Schada is the Events Coordinator at Bay College.
She tells the Radio Results Network that it’s a way for the college to give back to the community that it serves, as well as to showcase the newly-completed courtyard area and its flowers and artwork.
“Where we can bring local performances in campus, that’s what we’re about,” Schada told RRN News. “We’re the community’s college. This is a summer full of live music at Bay College, so we’re kicking it off this Thursday. We want people to think ‘Thursday, what do I do Thursday? Come to Bay College during my lunch hour.”
It will include six different types of music over the course of the summer, and food vendors from the local area will have trucks on site. This goes for the next six Thursdays from 11:30 until 1:00.
There is no cost…other than of course, for the food purchases!
