The sunny skies and mild temperatures were perfect on Saturday for the Escanaba Independence Day celebration.
There’s live music in the bandshell area, with bounce houses for the kids and lots of games for the adults. There are six food tents in the park, selling everything from french fries to hot dogs to pizza.
The events continue through Saturday night, when the fireworks display will be held.
Also on Saturday, Manistique held its celebrations, with its annual Independence Day parade. Manistique’s fireworks are also planned for Saturday night.
