Escanaba Public Safety, in conjunction with the FBI, have reason to believe a 42 year old Milwaukee Wisconsin man may be linked to the attempted armed robbery of the Northern United Federal Credit Union on July 5, 2019.
Escanaba Public Safety was notified on Monday, 07/15/2019, of another armed robbery of a bank in Lake Hallie (Chippewa County) Wisconsin. The suspect, a 42 year old male from Milwaukee, was arrested after leading authorities on a brief chase. The suspect was driving a black GMC Acadia at the time of the robbery and his arrest.
Investigation conducted by the Wisconsin authorities, FBI, and Escanaba Public Safety, have reason to believe the suspect and vehicle in the Lake Hallie robbery are connected to the attempted robbery in Escanaba.
Nothing further will be released at this time as the investigation continues.

On Friday, July 05, 2019 at approximately 5:53pm, Delta County Central Dispatch received a 911 call of a male suspect dressed in black with a mask and gun attempted to gain entry into the United Federal Credit Union. The doors had been secured for close of lobby business, but an employee was still inside at the time of the incident.
The suspect is described to be a male approximately 6’2” tall, 230 to 250 pounds, wearing jeans, black coat, black hat/mask, and carrying a handgun. The suspect vehicle is a GMC Acadia older model, dark blue, or black in color, with a sun roof.
