The U.P. State Fair Authority is pleased to announce that it will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for its newly constructed multi-use complex on the U.P. State Fairgrounds on Monday, August 12 at 3:00 pm.
“We’re excited to celebrate with individuals across the great State of Michigan who worked together to bring this project to fruition,” said Phyllis French, President of the U.P. State Fair Authority.
Local, State and Federal representatives are scheduled to be on hand to offer remarks regarding the project and the significant donation made the John and Melissa Besse Foundation. They will assist representatives of the Foundation in the ribbon cutting.
An open house will follow until 5:00pm when the gates open for the 2019 U.P. State Fair.
The Multi-Use Complex on the U.P. State Fairgrounds will be home of the organizations of the Commerce Center including the Delta County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Alliance, Visit Escanaba, the U.P. State Fair, the U.P. Veterans Museum and the Webster Marble Inventing the Outdoors Museum. It is located at 1001 North Lincoln Road in Escanaba.
